Live at Home Report

We partnered with IKEA on the Life at Home Report 2025, a global study revealing a striking insight: one in three people don’t experience enough joy in their homes.

In response, the project explores how design, atmosphere, and everyday rituals can help bring more pleasure, comfort, and emotional connection into domestic spaces.

Six imaginary rooms translating global research into lived experience.

To translate IKEA’s research into a visual and emotional language, we created a series of conceptual imaginary rooms. Each room embodies one of the key trends identified in the report, transforming data into tangible, relatable environments that people can recognize, desire, and adapt in their own homes.

While speculative in tone, every space is grounded in reality, featuring real IKEA products and practical ideas for everyday living.

Designing spaces that don’t just function, but make us feel.

Together, these imaginary rooms form a collective portrait of contemporary living - one where homes are not just functional containers, but emotional ecosystems shaped by joy, care, and personal identity. The project reflects a growing desire to design spaces that support mental well-being, connection, and everyday happiness.

This collaboration with IKEA was an opportunity to bridge research and imagination, turning insight into experience and inviting people to rethink what joy at home can look like today.

Discover the full Life at Home Report 2025 and explore how small changes can open the door to a more joyful way of living.
